B.L.A.S.T. stands for the Bantivoglio Leadership and Service Training program. It trains and certifies highly qualified and motivated Honors students in leadership through rowan's department of Student Leadership. These students leaders work with the new Honors Freshman in order to help them transition seamlessly into their new home both in the Bantivoglio Honors Concentration and in Rowan University.
B.L.A.S.T. Mentors are chosen in the Beginning of the Spring Semester in which they will attend 4 training days. Mentors work Accepted Students day and Orientation in the Spring and then they meet with a group of 8-10 students in the Fall for 8 one hour sessions. The purpose of these sessions are to promote community within the Honors Concentration at Rowan as well as to provide important and useful information to new college students.
